A "family caregiver" is anyone who provides any type of physical and/or emotional care for an ill or disabled loved one, typically without pay.
Most family caregivers don't have the time or resources to travel hours for support needed. We will be coordinating efforts in rural areas of Mississippi in order to bring information to the caregiver by hosting hands on seminars and workshops.
Our goal is to help provide information, education and support for the family caregivers in Mississippi. This will allow family caregivers to make informed decisions for their loved ones, find support for themselves and make the most of the time with their loved ones.
We encourage family caregiving insight comments on our blog page (Redefining Hope). Please feel free to share your story, circumstances and insights as they pertain to non-professional family caregiving. Your journey could help someone else to "know" what they don't know.
Comments will be monitored and discussed.
